Meagan's Birthday

Hi everyone!  This card features my second attempt at creating my own background paper (so much fun!).  This cheerful card is for my very special next door neighbor, Meagan.  Meagan is turning 11 and she is so very special to me!  She's the daughter I never had!

I definitely wanted to make something fun and girly for her!  So, this card features PTI's Dot Spot collection for the background in some really fun cheerful colors.  The inks are Stampin' Up's Groovy Guava, Summer Sun, and Pink Passion, and also Color Box's Moss Green.  The cardstock is PTI's Stamper's Select White, and Mellon Berry.  The outside and inside sentiment stamps are from Hero Arts.  On the inside, I used a ruler and two fine colored Sharpies to create a cute little border.  I can't wait to give this fun card to Miss Meagan!

As always, thanks for visiting!  Please feel free to leave your comments...I love hearing from you!  I hope you stop by again soon!

Dad's Birthday

Hey everyone!  Can you believe the summer is just about over?  My kids start school on Thursday and I think I'm still in denial.  While the start of a school year brings a fresh start and everything seems new again, I sure will miss those lazy days of summer!

For me, the end of the summer is always marked by my dad's birthay.  This year I won't be spending it with him though, because he is at the beach with my mom.  Lucky guy!!  Anyway, I made this card for him last night and I'm really happy with how it turned out.  The cardstock is from PTI (Spring Moss and Enchanted Evening) and some craft paper.  The background stamps are from the PTI Background Basics: Retro collection.  The tickets are from the PTI Just the Ticket collection, and the Ferris Wheel is a stamp I found at Michaels in the dollar bin!  The inside sentiment is from PTI's Half and Half collection.  This is my first real attempt at making my own background paper and it was soooo fun!  I can't wait to try out more!

As always, thanks for visiting!

Fancy Frame

Hi everyone!  Today's project is a frame I put together for my friend Shannon's birthday.  I took a simple frame found at the craft store, covered it in some patterned paper, stamped some swirls on the corners (Angel Company Stamp set), cut the letter S using the Gypsy Font on my Gypsy, added some crystals and covered the S in Glossy Accents.  So simple, but really cute I think!  Hope she likes it!

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Operation Write Home: Cherished

Hi everyone!  This is the last in my Operation Write Home Series.  This card was made using PTI's Gracious Vases stamp set.  I stamped the vases and sentiment in VersaMark and then used some white embossing powder on them.  The cardstock is PTI (Kraft and Ocean Tides) and the patterned paper is again from the Stella and Rose Hattie Paper stack.

As always, thanks for visiting!

Operation Write Home: Sending You...

Hi everyone!  Today's card is another I made during the PTI Stamp-A-Faire for the Operation Write Home project.  The cardstock is from Papertrey Ink (Kraft and Ocean Tides), and the patterned paper is Stella and Rose - Hattie Papers.  The sentiment is PTI's Big Bold Wishes.  I thought the sentiment was perfect for the OWH project.

As always, thanks for visiting!
