Teacher Thank You Cards

I just can't believe that this school year is already ending!!  I am so not ready for bathing suit weather!  Anyway, in my last post I mentioned that I have decided to give my sons' teachers flowers as their thank you gift this year.  For some of the assistants and other "special" teachers I purchased some impatiens.  They're really pretty, and I wanted an equally pretty card to accompany them.  I was looking through my binder of Cricut cartridge cuts for a "Thank You" cut that I could add some flowers to, and after searching for a while, I decided to use the thank you cuts from the Opposites Attract cartridge.  I used DS to size up the cuts, and added some flowers, buttons, twine and bling are from my stash.  These are really simple, but I love how they turned out.  Now to deliver them!!

Teacher Gifts

For my sons' teacher gifts this year, I decided to give flowers instead of some trinket they may never use or just throw away.  For the "main" teachers, the ones who have had the most contact with my sons this year, I purchased the most beautiful zinnias I have ever seen.  I was so inspired by the beauty of these flowers that I decided to make matching cards.  A few months ago, I purchased the Sure Cuts A Lot software to use with my Cricut, so I decided to Google "zinnia svg files" and I came up with the following link - http://cricutcard-iologist.blogspot.com/2010/03/zinnia.html.  This file was perfect for what I wanted to do!!  Here's what I came up with.  I think they turned out beautifully!!  I hope the teachers think so too!

Little Peanuts

Hi everyone!  I made another Father's Day card this evening.  This one is for my husband from our three boys.  The peanuts are cut from Create-a-Critter, and the sentiments were printed using my computer.  I embossed the peanuts with a spiderweb Cuttlebug folder!  I think it turned out pretty well!  Hope you enjoy!

Another Father's Day Card

Hi everyone!  Wow, two posts in one day!!  I think I may have to lay down!

Anyway, here's another Father's Day card I made last night.  The circle border and tag are from Give a Hoot pgs.  59 and 61.  The "Dad" is from Beyond Birthdays pg. 71.  I distressed the edges of the tag with the edge of my scissors.   I also used my computer to print the sentiment.  Hope you like it!!  Let me know what you think!  As always, thanks for visiting!!

Happy Father's Day

Ok, let's just get it out there...I've been less than stellar in the blogging department lately.  I have had tons of things going on in my life and my craft room got a little overwhelmed with "stuff".  For a while, I couldn't even see my crafting table!!  Well, we had our annual Kentucky Derby party the other day, which forced me to get things cleaned up.  So, now I'm back to crafting...yeah!!!!  With everything that's been going on, I have to admit that I was not able to make original cards for Mother's Day.  I just raided my stash of generic cards and made them work for the occasion.  So, I decided to get a jump on Father's Day!  Here's one of the cards I made last night.  The "Happy Father's Day" is cut from Wild Card pg. 66.  The circle was a random cutout I purchased at that yard sale recently.  The "I love you." was printed on the computer and cut by hand.

I'd love to hear what you think!!  As always, thanks for visiting!!
